In this 6.0 hour continuing education credit (CEC) course, Nutrition & Lifestyle Risk Factors for COVID-19, you will explore and build a fundamental awareness of the non-modifiable and modifiable risk factors associated with lifestyle, nutrition, and health. Specifically, you will learn:
- How certain conditions and diseases influences susceptibility to COVID-19
- Why specific populations of people are most at-risk for COVID-19 complications
- How micronutrient (vitamins and minerals) status impact immune health
- Why lifestyle habits, body composition, and health behaviors predispose certain people to COVID-19
- Practical strategies for working with clients who may be at-risk for COVID-19
